The event was held on 19 October at the Danube Plaza Hotel, with a high interest rate and a wide media response.
For the first time the main principles and new tendencies of GPP were presented to the general public and the possibility of their wider application in Bulgaria was discussed. The participants received eco-bags bearing the emblem of GPP and containing materials from the event. The general conclusion made by the auditory - representatives of municipalities, district governments, academics and NGOs, was that it is necessary to update the legal framework for public procurement in Bulgaria in order to broaden the application of the GPP criteria.
