TRANSDANUBE.pearls was successfully presented at the 2019 EUSDR Annual Forum organized as a key event of the 2019 Romanian Presidency, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme.
In the Transdanube.Pearls network of the best destinations in the Danube region on the Bulgarian side took part as Danube pearls Ruse, Svishtov, Tutrakan and Silistra.
Transport and mobility are the key challenges facing tourism regions today. And in the Danube region, rising numbers of tourists and their increased need for mobility have negative impacts on the environment and the local population.
Partners of the project Transdanube.Pearls reached their major goal: the establishment of a Danube.Pearls network, which will continue to jointly elaborate services for sustainable traveling from the Black Forest to the Black Sea and provide user-friendly tourism information for tourists and inhabitants beyond project lifetime.
The closing workshop on the Transdanube.pearls project was held on May 30, 2019 in Pleven.
An additional fourth seminar was held on 21-22 May 2019 in the conference hall of the Tutrakan Historical Museum. The event was part of the events taking place within the European Green Week and received promotional material from Brussels.
