The XIII European conference on ecological restoration “Restoring Nature, Reconnecting People” was hold on 5 – 9 September 2022 in Alicante (Spain) and organized by the University of Alicante and SER Europe. The conference was an excellent opportunity to foster efficient reciprocal exchanges between managers, private sector, civil society, decision and policymakers and the academia across Europe. The European Commissioner for the Environment, Virginijus Sinkevičius chaired the conference.
More than 300 scientists, professionals and practitioners of ecological restoration participated and over 200 presented plenaries, workshops, communication sessions and posters. CSDCS took part in the poster session where the SABRINA project provoked a great interest. Prof. Ilieva answered any questions from the audience.
